#1 which relay is this?

Post by skiday » Wed Aug 08, 2012 4:13 pm

The wiring diagram sadly does not help to identify all the relays around the car. There is one mounted on mine on the left side under the dash, but it only has one wire to it and I can't see any others loose nearby that might be from/to it. My interior light by the back door isn't working so I think it might be for that, or as it has a black & green to it, is it a fan relay?

Well, with only one wire to it it is certainly not achieving anything ! It looks like a( redundant) flasher unit because it only has 3 terminals, but it could also conceivably be a Lucas 6 RA relay, and they have quite a number of different specifications. If you take it off and clean up the case you will find a type number on it eg 33209D which is a horn relay , or 35011A which is a flasher unit ( strictly speaking a FL5 rather than a 6 RA ) .Alternatively you might find a SRB xxx designation . If you can post the numbers , I have a chart which may identify it
