#1 Damper interchangeability

I'm well into my engine rebuild and clutch replacement for my Series 1 and the cost estimates for the machine work have added up and added up. Latest bit of bad news is that the vibration damper had come loose and evidently chewed up the keyway on the crankshaft which prevents the damper from spinning on the nose of the crankshaft. Pete Crespin to the rescue, selling me a Series 2 engine and head which have been reconditioned and are ready for reassembly. Total cost FAR less than I would have spent on machine work and parts for the head and block on my engine. Unfortunately, the Series 2 crank doesn't have the damper, so my question is, "can the Series 1 damper be fitted to a Series 2 crank?"
