Seals and seals...

Hello fellas!
I'm in the process of installing seals all round the car, but I'm not sure where they all go.
Pretty sure about the A and B pillar, but the rest is just guessing. can I get some help :)
all seals are from SNG.

1: pretty sure this is correct


2: pretty sure this is correct.


3: what is this??


4: seems right, but not sure. is this just glued to the car? any recomended glues i should use?


5:rear quarter window, this profile do not match SNG website... is this correct here?


These seals I have no clue where can or should go... is this even for en E-type?

Jag paid a graphic artist good money to make sure your J38 2+2 spare parts book shows the place and orientation for each seal by showing its cross section with a kind of magnifier effect. The spares book was, literally, the first thing I bought when I got my first E-Type. A picture being worth a thousand typed words and all....

In fairness to Thim, the 2+2 seals are different from the FHC in some places (hence J38 not J30 book), although he has worked out the biggie with that unique tubular door seal.

Thanks for the help guys. I see there have been quite some changes in how Jaguar sealed the doors and windows. I have figured 1,2,4 are correct. 3 must likely correct and 5 deffinitly wrong, still not sure but I will figure along the way with the rest.

Well they used three different engines and 8 bodies too, so the wrong book could be worse than no book. Nothing substitutes for the right book, which you haven't looked at it seems Thim?

I have figured 1,2,4 are correct.

Nope. 4 wrong (shown placed back to front or inside out, your choice)
1 OK, 2 doubtful, 3 sill seal, especially if three indents for LWB door drains
6 probably headlight scoop edge trim, etc etc.

The item in picture 1 is BD is rest rubber for rear edge of bonnet.
The item in picture is BD 359771/1 rear bumper seal ( 113 1/4" long 287.6 cm)
These are the part numbers for a Series 2 .

aha, PeterCrespin, I have not look in any book becuase I have lost it :( buying new one soon.
Anyway, nr 2 I think is correct from different website I have checked. It is very simular to the one sitting on the rear quarter windows (wich somehow wasns't included in my kit...). Nr3 do not have indents, but my best guess is also above the sill and between the door. Nr 4 I agree is wrongly placed. Thanks for the help :)
And yes Grimes6, the a post seal is very simular to the hoodseal, but the hood seal is wider and thicker :)

Hello Thim,
The Sill Rubber for a 2+2 doesn't have indents. The same position rubber for an OTS and TSC does, but is a much smaller and totally different cross section. The rubber you have shown in picture #3 is correct for the Sill.
