I''m almost finished installing Ray's kit on my S 1/2 4.2 LHD OTS and have a problem.
I can't run the spark plug wires between the head and the manifold as there's little room and it's pretty gungy and gooey. There's not enough slack in the wires to run them around the outside of the manifold either (twin Strombergs).
The problem would be solved if I could use plug wires with a straight connector to the coil pack vice the present 90? bend. Despite much
searching there doesn't seem to be such an animal. For now I'm installing the coil pack on the frame rail but would like to eventually put it in it's designed spot.
1) Are there straight connectors available for the coil pack connection plug wires?
2) if not, can I use a later coil pack that has more conventional connectors for the plug wires?

You can buy coil-pack connectors here: http://trigger-wheels.com/store/contents/en-uk/d9.html so you could make up your own set of custom leads or convert your current non-EDIS ones.

Thanks for the reply but I've already searched there to no avail. Perhaps i didn't make my requirement clear.

The clip on connector for the spark plug wire to the EDIS coil pack seem to be made ONLY with a 90? bend in them.
I would like to use ones that are vertical or straight. This would make a much neater installation of the plug wires.

Don't exist as far as I know. Simpler to buy the 90 degree ones and make up your own longer cables. We are at the mercy of Ford and the decreasing supply of these components.

I too had this difficulty when installing the kit. But it is doable with patience and appropriate order. The wires for cyl 1+2 are indeed rather a bit short, hence need to be given priority. With time, the wires will also relax a bit. Let me know if you want some pics.
