#1 S U Carb Conversion

Post by Malk » Tue Apr 08, 2014 9:01 pm

May be a daft question - have tried searching on here but cant see much info strangely - if I wish to replace Strombergs with SU's on my SIII V12 is there a better (cheaper!) place than buying from Burlen?

Does anyone have experience of buying a refurbed set rather than brand new if a few quid can be saved?

Thanks,
Malcolm

If you're going to buy refurbished I reckon you're best off buying used and doing it yourself. The only complex bit is reaming the bushes for new shafts (a must) and any carby place can do that for you if you're not confident.
That way you know it's all been done and done properly.
