gear lever gaiter

The leather gaiter around the gear lever joins at the top to a chrome ring - mine has all come out so the chrome ring just flops around the top of the gaiter. Anyone tried to feed it back in with success?

hi

I think you should have a plastic/nylon type inner cone to the chrome ring

It has a male thread and traps the leather between it and the chrome ring, which has a female thread
