Electronic SU works superbly. The recently revised submersible pump from SNGB is good if you have a 3.8. You may also want to fit a Filter King and set the pressure to about 3psi: http://etypeuk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=164

#3 2 + 2 Fuel Pump
Warren,
Even the SU pumps average about 4 psi, whether Click-click or electronic. The SU carburettors prefer around 2 psi feed pressure. The answer is to fit a combined fuel filter/regulator in place of the existing filter. Filter King make an excellent adjustable device that is easy to fit. There is an excellent post on this topic by the Forum Administrator David (Heuer) Jones....look it up. I have one fitted to my Series 1 2 + 2.....
