Post by Heuer » Wed Apr 30, 2014 2:36 pm

Just been in contact with Richard Smith and he tells me he has re-manufactured the following parts which have been previously unobtainable:

Series 1 wiper rack adjuster cable assembly
C17487 S1 - clock adjuster cable assembly
BD19297 Friction shim behind striker plate
8409 chrome bezel fixing clock and trip remotes
BD24989 complete armrest ass. On centre console
BD34731 & 30 S3 seat torque spring
C21617 gear box shaft nut

If you are interested in any of these please contact Richard direct on 01270 780954 or rmj@rmjsmith.fsnet.co.uk Mention the Forum.

#2 Part numbers

Post by pmansson » Thu May 01, 2014 5:43 pm

Ever since I restored my father?s old S-type in 1984-85, I have wondered about the 3 categories of parts numbers: beginning with C, BD and simply the numbers....
Anybody knows what this is all about? Car, Body and .....? No, not as simple as that, surely.
