#2 harmonic balancer

Looking at the balancer off the '67 coupe I'm restoring, it appears that 0 degrees is directly above the center of the keyway in the balancer. Ten (10) degrees is .630" to its left. I measured this by placing a ruler over the center of the keyway to the outer edge where the marks were, and then what I approximated was the rear point halfway around the circumference. I was unable to measure that rear point with complete accuracy - it's only eyeballed, but I think reasonably close. Hope this is helpful.

Just how can the timing marks be gone if this is the correct damper ? They are etched into the periphery of the outer part of the damper
