#1 Starter solenoid location

Post by hirstydg » Thu May 15, 2014 8:27 am

Hi all

I'm replacing the starter solenoid in my 1964 3.8 FHC RHD. The old one was attached to one of the bulkhead blanking plates but doesn't look right and puts a strain on the wiring loom. I would be most grateful of someone could let me know the correct location and orientation of the solenoid. Picture would be ideal.

Many thanks

There's a picture showing the starter solenoid on my RHD '62 on xkedata if that helps.

That's great. Thank you. Looks like it's attached vertically to the engine frame by a zinc plated clip.
