#1 Windscreen seal

Hi all!
I've got the windscreen I was waiting for, I've ordered and received also the seal but here I've a major issue. It seems to be to small for the S3 body. I need to pull it to cover the aprox ~20 cm missing in length.
Is this normal? How can it be fitted first on the body before fitting the windscreen ?
I wonder if I've got the good one or not.
Please let me know.
