#1 IRS Cage and Axle Sizes

I know this has been covered in the past but i cant find the relevant thread.
Are there any differences between the S3 and S-type or 420 (with inboard brakes) cage and rear axle/diff? apart from the actual ratios, they all have a track of 54".
