#1 Carrier bearing removal Salisbury 4hu

Post by smokey_m14 » Fri Dec 12, 2014 5:17 am

Im working on the differential for my 1967 2+2 E-type, Im hoping this clamshell puller for a dana 44 will work. Any thoughts or opinions?
I'm hoping to use the old bearings as setup bearings if i don't damage them too much

Thoughts? Yup, I certainly have thoughts - mainly along the lines of are you mad? (No offence).!

Since you are in the USA you need to know that you can borrow the complete set of diff and IRS tools (including case spreader etc.) free of charge. You only pay for shipping both ways from the tool scheme address (which I think is in South Carolina).

If you aren't a JCNA member I would think that a year's subscription while you do your car resto would be money well spent for access to every tool Jag ever made for these cars and pretty much every other Jag including most moderns out of warranty. You don't even have to join a local club if that doesn't appeal, just become a member at large.
