Hi,
I just got a set of Boge rear shocks from DMG and Stevie Wonder must be working in Boges quality control!! 3 of the 4 have had the top end welded on at an angle, 2 of them so badly that the top dust sleeve would be scraping on the shock body. Am I just being a perfectionist, or are these as bad as I think?
Does anyone have any recommendations of where I can get these done properly!

That is for Sure NOT german craftmanship.
Return them.
If you have problems, I can contact them within germany in their own Language. PM me in this case.

I had one of my rear shocks do that. Did not notice until it was on the car and the paint scratched as it moved

Hi,
Recently bought a set from SNG B and they were all good. Still will check tomorrow though.
I would return them and ask for refund or new ones.

Phoned DMG logged complaint, told them that I had e mailed photos of problem. Complaints Department will contact me on Monday. I chose Boge because of the ride quality most people want, not to focused for most driving situations, I could have put them together but the pressure of the spring on the wonky top would force the piston over at an angle and cause premature failure of the seals.

DMG are sending some replacement shocks tomorrow by courier and taking others. They have suspended sale of shocks till problem resolved, good efficient service.

I have just discovered that one of the Boge shocks I bought from SNGB last May has exactly the same problem, they've asked for photo's and I'm waiting for a decision on a replacement.
