All,
I have whilst the gearbox has been apart, replaced the front oil seal and paper gasket between the box and bell housing. I now need to do the same with the rear. I have undone the bolts between the extension casting (fitted to the 2+2 & S3 only), removed the speedo drive, the split pin, castellated nut and the propshaft flange. For the life of me I cannot get the rear casting to come off the back of the box!
Is there something I've missed or am I just making hard work of it?
