The speedo angle drive on my 1970 E type 2 + 2 has an oil leak, does anyone know if it is possible to remove the angle drive to fix, or replace without removing the gearbox.

Any advice on this would be much appreciated.

Sometimes there is insufficient clearance between gearbox and tunnel side member to get the angle drive out . The technique to use if that arises is to use a longish pice of wood ( I use 2" X 1" ) to lever the gearbox to one side which then should give enough side clearance

And you may need to remove the gearbox lower support bracket to get it to move.
