Fixing the glove box to the dash panel

What do you guys use to fix the bottom of the glove box to the lower side of the dash panel?
Mine just had a solitary brass paper clip previously, and I?ve struggled to find anything else that might do the job.

Hi Simon, on my S2 FHC I have a couple of little holes in the bottom of the glovebox that line up with two in the dash and used small screws and thin nuts. The holes are next to the pivots. You might wish to try for something similar. Whether they are original holes for the job or something the PO did I can't say.

I used pop rivets through the holes. To stop the rivet pulling through the cardboard, I used small nylon spacers between the dash frame and the outside of the glovebox and a rivet washers inside the glovebox. Although this was also for an S2.

Chris I had thought of pop rivets, and would only suggest screws for easier removal of the glovebox for access behind, which I have needed for various tasks, but if not needed then the pop rivets are good solution

I had considered some black pop rivets, but wasn't sure about what would happen if I needed to remove them.
In the end I found some 4mm black nylon screws and nuts that fitted quite nicely. With the nuts on the inside of the glove box it looks OK.

I glued 2 small predrilled metal plates to the underside of the cardboard glovebox to give something for screws to bite into. I also put 2mm of hardboard between the plates & glovebox to prevent the screw protruding through into the glovebox.
