#1 Connecting 11 AC alternator

Post by ETTony » Wed Aug 24, 2016 10:35 am

Boys, I am connecting my new harness to the alternator.
There are no markings to help on the Alternator :?:

Brown/ White to ampmeter, yes.
I believe the Brown/ Green goes on the center connection to the Regulator 'F'
I believe the Brown/ Purple goes to the other connection to the Inition switch.

Q have I got it right ?

thanks Tony

Hi Tony,

The way you have wired it looks correct. The wires you mention are for the field coil supply via the two brush terminals (F+ and F-), with F+ being nearest to the centre of the alternator shaft.

The brown/green wire does go to the F terminal on the 4TR control unit.
