Floor pans

The floor pans on my Series OTS are just about bad enough that they need replacing, but I am having trouble finding any suppliers of complete floor pans. Hutsons website is not very good at all; SNG Baratt lists the floor pan complete with sills, but it says 'not available online'. So far I have found a couple of cheap front pans on eBay and that is all. Previous posts on here refer to 'the usual suppliers'.
Any leads?

Would you believe I just found them on SNG Barrat site. If I type in the full part number they don't exist - a partial number will find them though. £325 for the complete side.
Any comments regarding relative quality of different suppliers that won't get us sued?

The 'MR' in the part number should have been a give-away - MRE014. Martin Robey sell the complete floor with radius arm bracket for £306 + VAT; SNG Barrat sell the same item for £326 + VAT.
Are they the only suppliers this side of the Atlantic?

Hi Hugo,

SNG sell in priority the parts from MR because they are concidered than the best for these parts.
You can buy directly to MR. They have made great progress for the customer reception and if you have any problem Martin Robey himself answer you.
In US you have also monocoque-metalworks. Very good parts and guy.
Beware exotics workshop. You'll loose a lot of time....

Thank you - I am aware of Monocoque and I like the look of their work a lot. I'm heading to the US tomorrow as it happens, but floor pans are probably a bit big for hand luggage. You never know though, I have taken practically an entire Morris Minor across the Atlantic in that fashion before. Had to deflate the tyres, otherwise they might explode at altitude.

SNG will give a discount for various club membership.....dont know if the others do

Deal with SNG on the phone, not online. I have found them very responsive to searching for the correct part and I sometimes get a small discount. I have the MR floorpans via SNG and they are good quality.

Monocoque Metalworks is a small shop with excellent parts. I have acquired many smaller and custom sheet metal parts for a very fair price.

I have to say that the MR floor panels I fitted to my FHC were probably the best fitting panels I used (although all were pretty good). They fitted like a glove and were millimetre-perfect.

I have found all the panels from MR to be of very high quality and excellent fitment. All that is, except for the rear wheel arch repair sections - totally useless. They are pressed as a completely flat panel and you need to bend them to a close enough shape to use them. In the end I bought a set from MM in the US and they were a work of art!

No affiliation to these companies etc, just a very satisfied customer.

I used MR panels exclusively on my shell restoration and found them to be very good.
E-Types are effectively hand built so a little panel adjustment and a lot in some instances is inevitable.
Keep in mind that the replacement panels are just that; replacements and not completely true to the originals.
The original floor pans on the Series One and I think the Series Two were part of the inner sills, ie there was no joint between the sill and the floor. The MR floors and sills are separate.
I did not use complete floors; I bought the MR rear floors and foot wells, made up the front floors which are just flat sheet steel and used my original chassis rails.
This enabled me to have enough room to spot weld the panels in separately instead of plug welding them. I was also able to retain more of the original car.
I am sad like that :-)
