From the 3.8 service manual.
Fast speed test
Connect the green cable to the negative of a 12 volt battery
Join the blue and white wires together
Join the yellow and red wires together and connect to the positive of a 12 volt battery via. 10 amp fuse and amp meter.
The motor will be unloaded so look for around 2.2 to 2.9 amps of current.
Slow speed test.
Connect the green wire to the negative of a 12 volt battery
Join the blue and white cables together.
Join the brown and red cables together and connect to the 12 volt battery via a 10 amp fuse and amp meter.
Current drain should be around 3.0 to 3.7 amps....yes slow draws more than fast!
In my experience the current drains will be around 2 amps fast and a bit below 3 amps slow. This is with the motor out and not connected to the wiper mechanism.
Your wire colours do look a bit different. I suspect one of your yellow/green wires....possibly lower in the pic is yellow/green. The other one is white/green but stained yellow. Best to check.
When you refit the wires connect as follows...wiper wire first and loom wire second.
Green to green
Brown to brown/green
White(green marks) to white/green
Brown to brown/green
Red((green marks) to red/green
Yellow(green marks) to yellow/green
Good luck. J

I have found that the best way to bench test it is to connect it up to the wires in the engine bay without reinstalling it.

Looking at your pictures, time has changed things a bit but I reckon they're almost identifiable.
From bottom up I think you have the following colours coming out of your motor:
brown
blue
yellow/green
red/green
white/green
green
It's possible that I have the Y/G and W/G wires around the wrong way...
Connect these to your loom to match the motor wire colours using a 5 way connector and one single connector. Doesn't matter which colours go where in the connector.
Hold the motor with the underside facing you and get someone to turn it on to slow. The output cam should turn clockwise if you have a RHD car.
Get assistant to turn the wipers off. The cam should turn anticlockwise and may park. If it keeps going just turn off the ignition.
Try fast position; should go clockwise and faster.
NB it has been a while since I last did this so I'm not 100% sure about the parking.
