#1 Dynamo Bracket

Post by mylesw » Sat Mar 05, 2016 6:56 am

Hello

The Dynamo bracket on my 3.8 has links at either end that seem to be to raise the dynamo slightly and push it a bit forward (note that the front link has been put on incorrectly by me - it should be in front of the bracket!). Are these standard or is this a modification by the PO? If so, why would they have done this...?

Thanks

Myles

Hello Myles, David has shown the bracket for the (early) C45 Dynamo and the (later) C42 . All cars from late 1961 carried the later bracket. No additional mounting plates were fitted to the bracket . So you have a modification there to fit another incorrect Dynamo - supposedly.
