#1 Replacing Screws,etc.

Post by Herzeg » Tue Apr 12, 2016 8:00 pm

Hi there

I have been searching the forum for info and found the list of screws, bolts, washers, etc. This is useful info.

My main problem is I have just bought a S2 OTS and it has a total range of different things holding it together. Is there anywhere a list of what fixings are used where, the manuals I have don't seem to show it and the parts list doesn't specify them. I want to gradually get everything right, one door panel has six screws, all different!

Thanks
John

The parts list does indeed specify the fastenings required although you may need to look for the analogous part in the S1 list. You need to understand the code however. It is within the knowledge base . The part number code specifies the type of fastening, the type of thread ( nearly always universal fine but with the odd coarse where it screws into ally ) , the length , whether it is a bolt or setscrew, the diameter etc

here is the link : the code is quite complex but once you get used to it is very comprehensive
