#1 Fixing OTS door top chrome

I'm having trouble fitting the chrome door tops so the lower edge is flush with the door panel. No matter how I position them before tightening the two end screws there is still a gap of few centimetres.

I think I'll have to apply some form of mastic to hold them flush. Is there a suitable mastic type substance that would hold them down but still be easy to remove at a later stage? I don't want anything too strong that might harden over time and lift the paint.

Thanks,
Chris

Good old sikkaflex 221 will do the job, as will a number of windscreen sealants available from a company called Dortech. All will usually soften with a hairdryer and can then be removed with e.g. petrol without harming the paint

Thanks Christopher. I've got hold of some Sikaflex so will give it a try, once I sort out my trimming oversight.

I forgot to add the two hood envelope studs to the rear bulkhead before trimming the boot! So it all has to b redone for the third time!
