Hi there just wondering what alarms/immobilisers people are using on there e types. Do I go for a tracker?

Get a tracker. I have one and I got mine back after some Essex scum nicked it! Get a steering lock that shrouds the whole wheel. Make sure your garage has an alarm. Make sure you beef up the garage door lock. I have concreted a chain into the floor and now chain mine up when in there too.

Trackers are good (we have the Lo-Jack system here), but there are other measures you can take to dissuade those who like to take things. First on my list is a separate switch for the fuel pump hidden in a dark, secret place. Another is one of the battery shut-off switches with a removable key. Potential thieves want to spend as little time as possible when stealing your car, so anything that slows this process is a good thing. I once asked a girlfriend to store the distributor rotor in her purse while we toured a local botanical garden. Obviously, none of these are defenses against someone with a tow truck, but I would have been able to tell my insurance company that I'd tried
