Chaps,
I will be overhauling brake master cylinder this week.
I have the kit en-route.
I quick read though the w'shop manual. "That to remove an inner recessed circlip (#21) use Jag tool #7066"
Now is this needed, we all have circlip pliers in our tool box these days.
Or is it needed because the depth of circlip and diameter of cylinder means that the standard tools are no good.
I do see a few of these tools for sale

Some while since I did one, but I did not need a Jaguar tool. However, I do have one of those sets of circlip pliers with interchangeable ends, ( straight/cranked etc ) which is a help

Same as Christopher.....no Jag tool required....just circlip pliers.....

I just reassembled my master cylinder last Friday and had no problem using standard circlip pliers.
