#1 Stromberg manifold removal

I have just bought an American import OTS with Strombergs. I have ordered a set of SU's, but for now I need to drop the engine to change the clutch, which is slipping so badly it can't be driven. I just want to do the clutch for now then throw it back together so I can evaluate the rest of the car - ultimately I want to fit a 5 speed box plus the SU's etc etc, but that's another job for another day. Right now I am trying to figure out how to get the inlet manifold(s) off. It looked as though the studs that held the cabs on might be long enough that they also held the outer manifold thingy on (the bit with the butterflies in). But it doesn't want to budge. Is there anything else holding this outer manifold on, before I get nasty with it?

I take the complete manifold off in one piece. No need to split and take the outer half off. I also leave the carbs on when removing.

Well, that was fun! You must have very long thin arms! I think I'll separate the two when it goes back on, now that I can see what holds them together.
