I am rebuilding the car and have installed a new auto sparks loom
All wiring is sorted with exception of the pressure switch wire (brown and black) which isn't in the loom. Which should go to the back of the ignition lamp
The lamp on the tachometer has the White from the fuse and brown and black to the the 3ra
Should I just wire the switch and join it to the brown and black feeding the lamp
I assume the switch is still needed (Car has a voltmeter) for the correct operation

Any suggestions or help please

The warning lamp has a white wire to one side (positive from ign) and should have two brown/black wires connected to the other side of the lamp. One goes to the oil pressure switch. The other goes to the WL terminal on the 3AW warning light relay.

Thanks and following the drawings your response is correct and how I agree it should be
However I only have a single brown and black wire coming from the light which I have connected to the 3aw and can't see anywhere the wire which goes to the switch
Have also just checked the old loom and it only has a single brown and black wire and no piggy back connector

Looks like I will need to add a separate wire, and connect to the brown and black
Would this be correct thing to do

I would say yes....run a second wire from the lamp (or WL terminal) to the pressure switch. I know autosparks complete kits come with a pack of "loose wires". Maybe there is a brown/black wire there.

Only switching the warning lamp so 5 amp rating would be fine.

I have installed the new wiring loom from auto sparks.
No I have the ignition warning light with a white and a brown/black wire not working.

On the wiring diagram it says the brown/black is coming from a switch.This switch also connects to a black and a brown/yellow cable coming from the alternator.

Now it happens that I found all these 3 cables between the battery and the regulator.

But where is the switch? I can not remember I have seen a switch there nor can I imagine how it looks and where to place it. I am talking about my S1 2+2

It's not a switch, it's the 3AW warning light unit which is located near the alternator regulator unit.

Found this in a box but unaware of the purpose.
it has a suitable date code, as my car is 1/67 But it came in a box with the car.

Mine located here

Just trial fitted the part and works fine.
The location could do the job, but I never actually noticed this unit.
Will go through some books and double-check,

But I sorted my open issue very quick.
