I have an original rhd coupe. Built in November 1963. Unfortunately I have no history on it except for the name of the owner before me so I have no idea how it came to be in Canada. Original dealer was in the UK.

Mine is 860294 built March 1962, ODB with grey interior. I have the full history and original log books with all owners to date.

My car photographed by Paul Skilleter at the JDC Beaulieu meet in 1978. That is Bill Athlawes (who owned red FHC ELT 885C) talking to 123 OHY owner Ray Dickens and his wife who enjoyed mutiple JDC concours success with the car.

My Ser 1 fhc is 861363, first registered in April 1964. I bought it in 1973, so that's 47 years in my ownership and still my pride and joy.

It pays to sleuth - 860403 - DOB 11th April 1962.

The beauty of the old style log books are the recording of previous owners, the first image was taken of the son of the first owner who now lived in what was his fathers home ( and showed me the garage where it used to live between 1962 and 1967).

I further sleuthed on Facebook and joy of joys found the owner from 1969. He sent through the two lower images one with his dog in the back!, also telling me that when he decided to sell the car he placed an advert in his local paper - (it was the default, or Exchange and Mart or the glossy car mags).

A guy turned up paid cash for the car and took it away. A few days later a policeman knocked on the door as he was investigating a robbery and the car was used as the getaway vehicle!
