#1 Early Browns Lane Cars

Post by iangiles » Wed Jun 17, 2020 4:38 pm

Does anyone know the significance of an early series one roadster, Either 291 GXE or 291 CXE ? Would like to know more about this car if possible. I suspect it may be an early Jaguar car.

Not an outside bonnet lock car so it's not that early.

Do you have any back story to the picture?

Thanks for your reply. No, I have no more information than the photos I have posted. There is no trace of the car on DVLA search.

Don't think it is a Factory owned car as they had a published specific placement of the front number plate, and that is not it!

Probably the most sensible approach to this issue. It's a shame that California and so many other states have always been fixated on having an actual plate up front.
