colour combinations

Hi All, my 1963 S1 fhc left the factory in opalescent maroon with a red interior, his is stated in the Heritage certificate, also when I retrimmed the car about 30 years ago the old trim looked very original.
All the info I've read states that opalescent maroon was only supplied with maroon, beige or black interior as standard.
So the question is, was the car a special order, was it possible to order special combinations at the time.
(the car was supplied new by Hoffmans of Halifax)

Jaguar would allow you to choose whatever colour combination you wanted without extra charge providing it was from their standard list.
