#1 Body number tags
On Oct 13th I celebrated 50 years of ownership of my '68 ots. It was a German delivery, purchased by a Canadian Air Force officer in Germany and brought back to Canada several years later. Many miles and all the years later I still enjoy long trips in the car, rally and autocross. The car had a minor rear end collision about 35 - 40 years ago and the body tag under the license plate went missing. Does anybody know if they are available in reproduction? I have the number off the plate below the fuel filter. They have reverse stamping and a square font, so it's not something that's easy to do.

Hi Terry. You could try this vendor. The picture is of the tag he sent to me. I requested that the holes be left undrilled so that I could match the holes in my car. If I remember correctly it was made of steel but I would imagine you could request aluminum.

I'd echo Geoff's suggestion of Clarke Spares.

I used this supplier for the tags.
We had an issue whereby the supplied tag with holes was too short to fit the original fixing points in the number plate recess. I’m certain the the bodywork is original.
New tags were required which were provided and the supplier was very good with communication etc. it was just a niggle at the time.
The provided plates were good though.
