Good day.
I have a series 1 4.2L 2+2 coupe that i got in the colour according to the log book as grey.it was registered in sept 1966. I have taken the body back to bare metal and would like to know where to go to get a list of contemporary colours to go with the red leather interior.
Any info welcome
Colours for my series 1

Hi Chris
Here are a couple of sites I posted on another topic:

I guess your car is Warwick Grey or Silver Grey Metalic, either of which which would look very elegant and understated with the red interior. The other grey is Opelescent Gunmetal, which looks stunning on an E Type, but a little early for a Plus 2...depends how original you want the car to be.
I have always loved the red interior, and when restoring my S1 Coupe, kept the exterior the original black, but changed the interior from black to red. I've seen red interiors in green, blue, yellow, silver, black, grey and even red cars (only an option for 1962 E Types!) and to me, they all look superb.
Your choice!!

i would like to ad on that if you wanted to be really rebellious and step outside of the box, a pearl white or a black i think may not do to badly with red leather.
but i heave to admit that i think that with red leather the gray metallic is the way to go

I have a 2+2 S1 with a red interior and I have to say it looks superb in cream! I guess your best bet to compare will be at Goodwood on Saturday.
