Just out of interest, does anyone know why there was a change in grease seal orientation on the outer pivot shafts between etype and xjs of the same period of manufacture.
I have an xjs haines which shows them as seal inwards, whilst etype is seal facing out. All similar set ups regarding the carriers.

What does the Jaguar xjs manual show?..there are errors in some Haynes manuals....Steve
