Original headlining for removable hard top??

Hi all, i am a newbie so please forgive me if i ask some very stupid questions in the next few weeks.

I have just bought a 1965 OTS in near original condition, and am sorting out a few parts that are lacking.

The first was to buy a hard top. The one i bought is an original one from a series 1, in raw fiberglass with all the chrome parts in a bag.

The biggest problem with it is I need to find out what the original headlining was, and where to buy it from?

Also is there somewhere i can get the paint codes for the original 1965 cars?

As regards the headlining you could start with some of the trim suppliers e.g Suffolk & Turley or BAS (again contact's are in the Knowledge Base) as it is probably the same stuff used to trim the roof lining of the FHC (Jaguar were notoriously frugal with their buying habits courtesy of Mr Arthur Whittaker who was personally trained and appointed to the post of Chief Buyer by Sir William ).

The headlining on my S3 hardtop is white plastic, much like most cars of the 60s / 70s, and I've a sneaking suspicion that the S1 hardtop was the same. Have a look at this thread, and maybe contact CMC to see what they think, and if they can supply the correct material.

Spoke to CMC and they thought that the headlining should be a whitish vinyl with foam above. They are also happy to supply said lining. It sounds a bit utilitarian, but as i am trying to keep the car as original a possible, that's the way i will go.

I think that it's utilitarian because, in the day, it would have been handled a lot and the cloth headlining would get grubby very quickly.

Don't suppose anyone could recommend a good workshop that could deal with putting all the parts together and spraying the roof?....In the Spalding / Peterbrough area would be even better!
