#1 Tracing car's previous owners

Post by Louise Gibbs » Wed Feb 22, 2012 2:54 pm

I'm looking for previous owners of 860212, current registration 9587 DT, S1 RHD FHC.
Can anyone help?
Am asking on behalf of one of our E-type Club members.

Many thanks,
Louise

Nothing in the 2011 JDC Directory of Vehicles and Owners or on XKEdata (the current owner should enter it for posterity!).

Hi Louise,
Write to DVLA with details, enclose ?5 (was when i did it) and they'll send you copies of log book entries of previous owners. Did it for my '64 but only got back so far since earlier records had been destroyed in a fire at DVLA!. Never did try to follow up the POs but it seemed as if my car changed hands a lot! I reckon that people like the image of owning an old car but reality is somewhat different if you havn't been used to their (old car) foibles [brakes, steering, ventilation, heating,w/screen wiper/wash, checking liquid levels etc etc!]

HI, curiously I've just been making searches on this very car having turned it up in DVLA's database a couple of days ago!

I owned this car between approx 1972 -74, and was my first E-Type, I'd love to get to see the old girl again!

Best regards

John
