S1 glovebox lid

Has any one fitted a lid to the glovebox of a S1? The s2 does not fit. I am happy to make the lid from ply but don't know where to get the furniture. Thank you for your help. Brian.

Never tried it but I guess you could use the complete passenger side console/lid from an S2. They have similar fixings so it would be an easily reversible modification. Give Andy at Hutson's a call and see if they can supply the complete unit or even just the frame. SNG and SC Parts can supply the lock and handle; the hinge you can get from a hardware store. Alternatively give M&C Wilkinson or Richard Smith a call to see if they have original parts available.
