Dash for me & changed to a later lock as it has an auxiliary position so I don't need the ignition on when parked. Oh! and I put the heated rear screen on a pull switch where the cigarette lighter was because that is now under the centre arm rest and voltmeter for me as I've had a bad experience with ammeters involving fire. The starter button and headlamp flash are on relays. All movements and extra wiring is on a separate supplementary loom so everything can be put back should the next owner wish but I don't intend selling so hopefully that will be a long time away. :D
At the risk of upsetting some members I've said it before if someone wants to put a v6 diesel enginge in an e-type and paint flames down the side that is their right and while we may feel it is in poor taste it is not for us to mock or critisise it is their car to do with as they please.
And for the record I do think toggle switches are cute.

I wanted to update on the '68 series 1.5 car for sale in Toronto Canada. This car is a kind of weird car built up from all kinds of E-types. The entire front frame including an incorrect VIN number came from an OTS. 1R8838 was the VIN number on the picture frame but it should have been 1E78856BW.
Non original engine, and gear box as well, and body tags removed.
Altogether enough reasons to leave the car where it was.

I did however end up with a purchase in the end, a 1969 series 2 manual gear, in completely original condition. I will properly introduce it.

Cheers Frank
