Greetings all and happy holidays!
We're in the process of eliminating some of the pesky modern alterations that the prior owner made to our 1965 4.2 coupe, including a modern fan. I'm searching for the right fan motor. I understand that the Series 1 cars had a square fan, but would anyone happen to have a photo they could send our way? Thanks so much!
Best regards,
Bill S.

Here you go:

Lucas fan motor. Cast alloy ends with dark grey hammertone painted centre section. One on eBay at the moment complete with blade, just missing the four mounting posts: http://tinyurl.com/ovhlpge

Don't forget the dust cover #8567 on the front (black rubber) - tends to be missing but available from the Usuals. The four mounting bolts are #8643 and they sit in four rubber grommets #C18110.

Thanks again. I really appreciate it. I did manage to snag one on ebay. Any recommendations on good suppliers? I've got the encyclopedia-sized catalog from XKs Unlimited. Other guidance would be most appreciated!

In the US XK's seems to be a good bet. I use them whenever possible and I am in the UK! For you guys in the Colonies they seem to be a no brainier.

I can vouch for XKs. For years they were really the only game in town, and since they're only two hours up the road from me, they're Number One on my list. For those of you with 3.8-litre cars, the Moss folks in Santa Barbara are pretty good for those items that were also found on the XK-150.

I agree that XK's is a top shelf company, but it's hard to beat Barratt's prices and customer service. However, I do like XK's paper and online catalogs better.
