Hi Simon,
I strongly suggest that you keep, upgrade as desired, and enjoy your current car!!!
You are the most aware and critical observer of your car. As such, your attention will be focused on every flaw. Since you get to see it every day and drive it on demand you've had an opportunity to note every one of those flaws. Yet, it sounds like you very nearly have the car you that you are desiring.
If you buy a new car you'll have a wonderful opportunity to repeat this experience, discover a new set of things to fix, and spend a lot more money bringing this different car up to your standards.
Cars (like women and grass) are rarely greener on the other side of the fence. Unless you are a regular winner of the lotto, the odds of buying a better car are awfully slim.
Best wishes,
Larry

Hi Mark,
Would love to see your car when CMC return it - As you say, you are only just down the road so it would be good to meet another E owner. Whilst I belong to the JEC I don't attend any of the get togethers - teenage son that thinks we are a private taxi service, a wife that has a seemingly endless list of jobs to do at weekends and a house that we are still renovating seems to impact on my time.
Let me know when you get the car back - It would give me a great reason to get the old girl out and give it a good run.

Some great feedback here - thanks to all of you - the consensus view is 100% in favour of sticking and I think that is the right thing to do - better the devil you know.
Thanks once again

Hi Dave,
Not too far away at all - Iverley nr Kidderminster so 30 - 40 minutes I guess.
Would be good to have a meet up - I'd value another E owners opinion of my car.
