Color questions

I am in the process of restoring a series 1 and I have some parts to paint, but Im not sure what color they're supposed to be.


Ive seen multiple pictures of the hinges, and narrowed them down to either being body color or black. The boot latch cover was a green color when removed, and it didnt appear to have been refinished before, but that could still be an incorrect color. The block off plate goes on the firewall. That is also sometimes body color and sometimes black.

If anyone could give me some more info on the color these are supposed to be that would be a huge help.

The bonnet hinges should be cadmium plated with black springs. Later cars (S2?) had black hinges with black or silver springs.

As too the boot latch, certainly on mine it was Cadmium plated

And as you probably won't be able to find anyone who offers Cd plating because of its toxicity bright zinc is your best bet.
