Hello Juzman, tell us a bit more about your car and why you don't have those numbers on the frame already.
Sorry, but there are so many odd cars out there with people trying to clone valid numbers onto ringers that most of us will be wary of newcomers posting their first question like that.
Some photos of your car and a few more details and you'll get lots of help.

Hi Geoff,
I am restoring a 1966 series 1, 4.2 roadster that i bought in boxes. No mean feet. Most of the panels apart from the bulk head and boot lid appear to be new, it has the original chassis plate and is a matching number car.
The front frame sections appear to be new and the 'picture frame which is obviously a replacement' is not stamped.
I am new to the forum and will have loads of questions during this project. To be honest i thought it would be easier to post this rather than take a tape measure to the nearest showroom.
Thanks Justin
Justin. 1966 Series 1. 4.2 E Type. DHC.

Thanks for the advice Steve, i thought the font was standard engineer stamp.
I will speak to the companies you suggested in the morning.

Hi Justin, an S1 4.2 OTS (open two seater) is a nice car to have, some will say the ideal one.
Good luck with the restoration and do ask questions as you'll get lots of useful, helpful advice.
Have you posted the car details on xkedata.com? If it's not on there already then add the information.

You say it is in bits, is it LHD or RHD? If LHD then there is a good guide in the knowledge section of how to convert.
Photograph everything and get yourself a copy of the SNG Barratt catalogue, an invaluable aid, so is the SC Parts catalogue. You'll have to pay for the SNGB one unless you put in an order.

Why not post a photo of what you've got and give us the serial number. It'll help us all know what you've got and help in guiding you through your project.

Hi Geoff,
I was actually with a friend of mine who bought the car still intact but not roadworthy, some 25 years ago. We removed it from the sellers garden. He stripped the car, got it on a jig, bought many new parts over the years but that's as far as he got. Unfortunately he died and i purchased the project in boxes.
The serial number is 1E1505, it has had 3 previous owners on the log book including my friend.
When i try to add a picture it says file too large  .
Thanks Justin

don't forget to add it to the xkedata.com database - it will help record the provenance for the future.
