Hi Robert, would be v interested to know where you took the power from and how you got the wiring down to the fan. I'm considering doing exactly the same).RobertGrieve wrote: ↑Sat Jan 19, 2019 5:26 pmI have just fitted the twin coolcat fans and they are absolutely brilliant. With previous original fans my cars temp would be fine on the move but would creep up in traffic or parking up/traffic lights. I have also fitted an override and (quite neatly I think) tucked a toggle switch under the dash. With the new fans on the cars temp can creep to 90 and drop right back to 75 or so with the fans within a couple mins. Very pleased.

Hi Phil,
I used a toggle switch to earth the otter at the radiator. I ran long wires down the frame to the otter switch wiring and hooked the two wires in to that circuit so that should the toggle switch be activated, it would operate the fan relay in the normal manner. So, no power going to my switch, it just overrides the otter. Probably a slightly different approach required if your car does not have a fan relay?
Cheers, Robert

Hi Robert - that's helpful thank you. I was thinking along a slightly different line of splicing in a second wire at the point the otter fan connected to the fan relay. This would be connected to one side of the toggle switch with the other side of the switch connected to earth. This would mean either the toggle switch or the otter switch would complete the relay circuit to earth and enable the fan to work. I am guessing the same effect as yours but just via a slightly different approach.RobertGrieve wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2019 5:37 pmHi Phil,
