The 'E' Type Forum

Can anybody help? I have a set of rear quarters, both have the indentation on the top (to accommodate the lights - i think) BUT one is "cut away" on the underside (next to the number plate end) and the other does not have this cut away it is straight top and bottom. Are these from different series cars and if so which is the right one for my 1965 Series 1 4.2 OTS?

Richard - I would not be dogmatic, but it sounds as though you have one of the earlier bumpers, which have to be bolted though from the inside, a real PITA , and one ( with the cutout) of the later externally bolted type. A bit odd if they have come off the car, as the bodyshell determines which type you need, the later type having captive nuts internally
