Starter Motor replacemen

Hi
I have series 1 4.2 the starter motor has been playing up and needs replacing. I'm planning to replace with new hi torque one but how do you get the old one out? Can't seem to access to the bolts to remove it, can you do it with engine in place ?

Hi Mark...not the easiest job.....it does give details in the maintenance manual.....bolts ara accesable from under the car or via access panel on right hand side of gearbox .....dont forget to disconnect the battery.....and it can help to remove the drivers seat
