So, having successfully reconnected the (disconnected) washer nozzles and having got the wipers working and parking properly, I now have the problem of my Lucas 2SJ washer motor assembly. The motor works fine but after a few uses, the bottom reservoir/siphon pump arrangement is no longer working (am guessing seals may have gone since it was quite noisy). Does anyone offer a refurbishing service for these or am I resigned to buying a replacement motor/lid/innards from SNG (£114 inc VAT) -[C17004/LID/MO]? Has anyone any experience of how good these are? I also can see (as an alternative) the option of a separate washer pump to screw/wire somewhere out of sight behind the bulkhead. Again, has anyone done this?

The 2SJ washer provides a timed wash function that is not particularly reliable. You should be able to run it 'on-demand' and forget about the timer. The SNGB motor is designed to replicate the later Lucas 5SJ which does not have the troublesome timer but also works in a different way to the earlier version. Lucas 2SJ service guide is in the Forum KB, or this direct link:

The two systems are different so you need to go with one or the other in their entirety.
