I was wondering which one is the right colour for the roof trimming on a Series 1 FHC, when the interior trimming is red. Looking for examples, I see in some cases seems to be beige, in others light grey?
Apologies if this question has been answered before, I did not find the right answer and the originality guides do not clarify the point

As far as I know Jaguar only used three standard colours of wool cloth headliner and sun visor trim - beige, grey and pale green, the latter only being used on cars with a suede green interior trim. The Factory used beige or grey by customer request or what they decided suited the chosen paint/trim combination.

I've put grey in mine with the red interior. I think that was the factory standard, if ever there was such a thing. It came with the trim kit I bought from BAS but I can't remember having the choice of head lining colour. Could be wrong though.
It's a matter of personal taste. For me, beige would be wrong with a red interior but it's your car.

Stuart
