#1 Completion Department Wishbone Question

Post by E600 » Wed Aug 09, 2017 8:45 am

Shown in the above thread is a picture of the LHF wishbone of a LWE. The top of the ball joint appears to be secured by a large two eared nut rather than the standard plate and circlip. If I am correct what was the reasoning, was it an easy method of adjusting the top ball joint, or am I barking up the wrong tree?

TIA

Instead of a shimmed/sprung floating cup adjusted by dismantling, it is a male threaded cup screwed in and out of a female threaded wishbone. This is more rigid and easier/quicker to adjust. The likes of you and I couldn't tell the difference, but Roy Salvadore or Graham Hill?
