Hi,
I have just cleaned up the horn push from my ‘63 FHC, prior to reuniting it with the restored wheel and upper column. The car was very original when I got it and I think this may also be the correct original ‘growler’. What do you guys think?

Thanks chaps. I’ve just finished cleaning up the Bakelite surround, which with a little wire wool, India ink an a final buff with black shoe polish, has come up ok. There are a couple of small chips around the inner ridge that will need attention before I’ll be happy with it.

  looking superb...you can do mine next! ....everyone does it differently when restoring but a teensy bit of patina of age never did any harm in my opinion...

Your's certainly looks to be original as others have already verified. All of the reproductions I have seen have the growler's ears in white squares (not black squares as the originals) and the checkerboard squares have rounded corners not sharp corners like the originals.
