Hi chaps,
What are my options for purchasing an original style fibreglass glove box for my 61. Currently fitted with a riveted cardboard item.
Cheers,
Pete

No one makes them commercially as far as I know.

An excellent reproduction of an early fiberglass glovebox liner has been offered by major vendors for quite some time. No time today to do the research - but for certain reproduction liners fiberglass liners are available.

Hi Bud,
Thanks, but unable to find a listing anywhere apart from the cardboard ones.
Any info of supplier/s would be much appreciated.
Cheers
Pete

Hello, Peter -
I spent 2 hours searching with no luck. I am certain I saw repro fiberglass E type liners listed several years ago and believe one is fitted to my 1961 LHD e-type. But I don't see this item listed now with any of the major vendors. Sorry!

No apology needed Bud, thanks so much for doing a search. I’ll keep prodding.

Hello, Peter -
The only major E-type parts catalog I did not check was the one for Martin Robey -- looked like I needed to establish an account before searching their catalog, which I did not want to do.
You might ask David Jones (Heuer) for the early fiberglass glove box liner part number in the 1961 edition of J30. Could be helpful if a vendor is using the early part number.
Good luck!

Hello, Peter -
Probably too late for your needs, but check out the following RS Panels advert for an early E-type glove box -

Thanks Bud, I picked one up at the Beaulieu Autojumble last year for £30. It seems I got a bargain!

Great, Pete - and quite right about the price you paid and the RS Panels reproduction.
