Headlamp Rims

Good evening all,
I am asking for your help on maybe an obscure topic!

I am refitting the chrome surrounds on the headlamp on my series 1, before I fit these I would like to clear out the gunge and paint etc from the captive nuts. does anyone know what size of tap fits these.

help is appreciated.

8-32 so they're UNC
